The Good Batch@Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya

Last Saturday, i told the boyfie to search for new cafes/places to have brunch. I always wanted to try out new cafes in KL when i saw friends posted nice food pictures on instagram. But, at the end of the day, we still getting back to those cafes where we used to. 



He picked a few cafes and let me decided which one to go for. I'm an american breakfast person. I can eat sausages, hams, bacons every single day and never getting bored. At last, i decided to go for The Good Batch, which located at Damansara Uptown.


I got really delighted when i saw some bloggers blogged about this cafe, cus their foods look really tempting.
In fact, it's really good. The owner approached us and asked how was the food and everything. (she asked everyone about the feedback.) 


The design of the cafe is pretty simple, cemented wall and floor, dark ceilings and wooden tables. We went around 3pm but still fully occupied. 






The Good Batch is pork-free but they do serve alcohol. Loving their menu cus they used recycled paper. A plus points for me since they support Go Green.

Boyfie's flat white coffee (RM8.90), not a coffee person so no comment on this. 

My "ang-moh" breakfast set (RM25.90), consists of two scrambled organic eggs, beef bacons, chicken sausages, ripened cherry tomatoes, baked Portobello mushroom, fried potatoes, baked beans and a slice of toasted bread.

I love love love their streaky beef bacons. Unlike the hard and chewy beef bacons i have had before, this one tastes the opposite of it. It was so good. Grilled portobello mushroom tastes juicy! A little turned off for the scramble egg though but overall was good.


Boyfie's Norwegian (RM20.90), which in common, egg benedict with smoked salmon.

 
i don't prefer egg benedict before that cus i tried couple of times and i don't think it's something outstanding for me. But, TGB egg benedict worth a try! I like how they topped their organic poached eggs with onion confit, capsicum, smoked salmon with their homemade lemon Hollandaise on a toasted bread.



Dessert of the day, The King (RM11.90). It's banana cake topped with peanut butter. The fillings in between are bananas with chocolate. Would recommend this!


We actually wanna order some snacks but sold out. It's something with nutella, i forgot. Can't wait to go back to try out more. This cafe is now up on my favourite-place-to-eat-list! =)
