Chonnam National University International Summer School 2013

Annyeonghaseyo! =)
So happy to be here in South Korea right now (Gwangju). I'm here for a summer school program & i'll be going back to Malaysia a month later.

I'm getting in love with my university, food, people and etc. I gained weight like crazy! =(
I gained 2kg just after a week here because Korean's used to have rice every single meal & their portion is quite big including all those side dishes. Kimchi every single meal is not good for me bcuz, I don't like kimchi!

The bad thing staying here is, my Korean is so bad. I'm getting slightly better now, at least i knew how to ask questions but when i first came here, i feel like dying. Not many cafes/restaurants provide english menu & of course, you don't expect people speaking english fluently with you. Thanks god, i found a few friends who's actually good with Korean & every time i went out for meal, i'll just point whatever i want, and they'll order for me. I'm being pampered here, haha!

Many people from all around the world are asking me questions about Malaysia, especially on the cultural side. I'm glad to be a Malaysian bcuz people were amazed by our multi-culture and basic languages where we can speak. Anyway, most of them said i look like a Taiwanese/Chinese. Good thing? HAHA!

Yea, there are my groupmates from Mexico, USA, HongKong, Indonesia & Korea.

More to update soon! Till then :)

Leonardo's Dining Room & Wine Loft @ Jalan Bangkung

Hello! Laziness kills, and i'm here to write something since i have the "ohm" to do so.

10/6/2013 was me & the boyfie's second anniversary! =)
Unlike what other couples do, we didn't have any gift exchange session. He didn't give me any flowers/ surprise/card etc, we just went out for a nice dinner. (I gave him a card lah with touching touching words inside)
I decided to dine in Leonardo's Dining Room & Wine Loft back then. Initially boyfie wanted to bring me for a buffet dinner but i refused because i think it's too expensive.

Funny thing, i actually already decided what to wear on that night way before we pick places to have our dinner. Well, i think girls usually do that like me! Hehehe.

The ambience is very comfy. It gives me an intimate & relaxing feeling. We did our reservation earlier so we managed to get our seats. The place is not big though so i would suggest you to call before you go! Leonardo's serves fusion dishes (western & asian). Their moto is: 'If it tastes good, put it on the menu' so whether you want to eat steak or porridge/bat kut teh, it's all up on the menu.

Ordered a glass of Chardonnay white wine for the boyfie.

My Spanish Iberico Black Pig Shoulder Loin Steak (served medium done) with truffle oil mash potatoes & vegetables.  The meat was tender & juicy. Delicious!

Boyfie's Hawaiian Pineapple Barbequed Pork Ribs (with roasted potatoes & corn salsa).  We personally thinks that the taste of the barbequed ribs were just normal but the portion is generous.

Didn't take any dessert after meal. I read blogs saying they have bread & butter pudding but it wasn't on the list so i was kinda disappointed.

Chillax a while before we left.

Self shot!
p/s: We did it when the people next to our table left their place. HAHA!

Love you,
as much as you do!
XOXO
